Sticking it to Wal-Mart
OK, so after visiting with my other frugal friends I have found that it is not common knowledge that Wal-Mart honors all competitors adds. That's right, people. They will match sales prices of Super 1, Brookshire's, Target, Albertson's, Kroger, HEB, and Skinners. Back when I was a single mom I lived by this method. The grocery ads come out on Wednesday. Go to each site, and write down the sales prices for each item you wish to buy. Then simply take this list to the store, get those items and then at the check out tell the cashier you are price comping them for the sales prices for other stores. I save a fortune on meats and sodas alone. A dollar here or there really adds up. I plan my meals in advance based on the sales items. This week I got rump roast and ribs for both a dollar a pound each. Then we had pot roast and grilled ribs! I save about $50 a week by doing this. Why give it to "the man" when you can put it back in your own pocket! I have taught several friends how to do this and don't mind sitting down with anyone else and going through the process. You will thank me later!
